Nakatane (中種子町 Nakatane-cho?) is a town located on the island of Tanegashima in Kagoshima Prefecture.

Getting in[]
The island of Tanegashima is accessible by ferry and airplane. Nakatane is approximately 20 minutes' drive from the airport, and approximately 30 minutes' drive from the Nishinoomote Ferry Port.
To/from the airport[]
Tanegashima Airport is north of Nakatane and south of Nishinoomote.
Getting around[]
A car is necessary for getting around on Tanegashima and to/from Nakatane. For sight-seeing, cars ca be rented at several car rental shops in town. Bus service is available. There are no trains on Tanegashima.
