Japan Hiroshima large


Hiroshima Prefecture (広島県 Hiroshima-ken?) is located on the coast of south western Honshu island. As of 2014, Hiroshima's population was 2,838,423 people, heavily concentrated in the area around Hiroshima city.


Japanese Exchange and Teaching Program (JET)[]

JET is broken up into two separate groups. Hiroshima Prefectural JETs and Hiroshima City JETs. Prefectural ALTs are further divided into City BOE ALTs and Hiroshima Prefectural Board of Education ALTs. In the Prefectural division there are currently 101 JETs (4 CIRs, 97 ALTs) from 10 different countries, about half coming from the United States.
